From the Lab to a Fantasized Future

Each piece begins as an original design sketch, developed through drawing and digital composition.The designs are then translated from digital files into acrylic through cutting and printing, before being carefully assembled by hand.Through this process, graphic elements are transformed into physical objects, bridging visual design with material form.

About the Lab and the researcher

Sector9.Lab is an independent project created by Esca09, illustrator and designer, inspired by a long-standing fascination with cyber aesthetics and speculative futures.Influenced by classic cyberpunk films, games, anime, and East Asian culture, the project explores how imagined futures can take shape in everyday objects.Each piece is designed to bring these visions into the present, allowing anyone to carry a fragment of the unknown mechanical world and possibilities into daily life.
